2023 Cousins' Getaway

Hello Family,

This section of the website is dedicated to the 2023 Cousin’s Getaway, which will be held in November 2023.

This event is SEPARATE from the upcoming 2024 Eli Wood Family Reunion, and is NOT meant to substitute or replace the family reunion.

All cousins are invited, and if you are in need of a roommate, you are welcome to invite a friend!

Update on the Cousins Cruise Getaway. We are planning a 7 Day Eastern Caribbean from Miami. This cruise was suggested by our agent, Becky. The best cost value would be in a 7-day cruise. If you have cruised on Carnival Cruise lines in the (recent) past, your name, birthdate and last cruise ship name is needed to see if you are entitled to an enhanced package.

Depending on the stateroom booked, estimated cost begins at $795.00/pp plus taxes, fees and port expenses. Double occupancy is required in each cabin (unless you elect to pay the cost of a second person in order to have the room to yourself).

A passport is not needed because this is a closed loop trip; it departs and returns at ports within the United States.

During the duration of the cruise, we will use download and use the HUB app on your cellphone to Chat using their ship’s CHAT Feature. The Chat feature is $5/pp for the duration of the cruise.

Four types of cabins and Pricing (as of April 16, 2023)
Please note that the price will continue to increase as the trip gets closer.

Beds are two twin beds and can be put together to make a king.

interior cabins – always the least expensive, it is an inside cabin with no windows, current pricing is $1,700 for two people (double occupancy)
ocean view – cabin with a window – curtains do not always keep the lights out, $2,600 for two people (double occupancy)
balcony view – slightly larger room, has a sofa and has a door to go outside ($2650 for two people, double occupancy)
suites – two rooms, however the ‘rooms’ are split by a curtain, it is slightly larger than a balcony view, also has a couch ($4,450 for two people, double occupancy)

Alcohol and soda are not included in the price of the cruise, though additional packages can be purchased to cover such expenses.

Prices are not locked in until you book the trip and make the reservation – in order to make a reservation, she will need:

The name, email, phone number, date of birth and state of residence for every passenger on the reservation. You will also need to let her know what type of room you would like to reserve.

Once you receive your reservation confirmation by email, You will have 2-3 days to review the reservation and then make your deposit ($250 for double occupancy) to hold the reservation.

Final payment is due by 8/7/2023. All payments are refundable up until the August 7, however the deposit will be issued as a FCC (Future Cruise Credit).

On the Ship:

Once you get on the boat, you have to go through the mustard drill, which is the safety briefing.

After the safety briefing, most people gravitate to the Lido deck, download the Hub App, and enable the Chat feature at that time.

All charges are billed to your Sail and Sign card, which is also your room key. A Sail and Sign card is assigned to each passenger when boarding.
